I don't have the key safe code, help!

The advice in this article is relevant for everyone that does not have the code for a key safe whether you have lost or forgotten your code, moved into a property where there is a key safe already in situ or any other scenario where you do not have the code to the key safe.

Unfortunately, we don’t hold any codes for key safe's here. As a main supplier, all units leave us uncoded.  Additionally, being a security item, they do not have any master/reset code facility.

The person who purchased the key safe would have set their own code into it and shared that code with whomever they wished to have access to their home. If the key safe was used as part of a care package the code may have been supplied to the adult social care or telecare department at the local council, local care agency or GP. Neighbours may also have been given the key safe code.

If you are trying to remember a forgotten code, the following points may help:

C500, P500 and Classic KeySafes

Each number/letter can only be used once in your code

We advise setting a code that is between 5 - 7 digits in length

The code can be entered in any order

ark Tamo™ & Pro Maximum Security Key Safes

Each number can be used up to 4 times in your code

We advise setting a code that is at least 6 digits long with at least one of the numbers being repeated

The code can be entered in any order

I am unable to get the code, how do I remove the key safe?

All of our key safes are installed with self-tapping masonry screws. Because of this we advise not to attempt to pry the key safe from the wall as the brickwork will be damaged in the removal.

To remove a key safe you would need to use power tools such as an angle grinder to cut into the key safe, this would destroy the key safe in the process. If you are not comfortable using power tools, we suggest utilising the services of a handyperson service.
