Lost, Forgotten or Unknown Codes

I don’t have the code; how do I remove the keysafe from the wall?

The only way to gain access to the key safe without a code will be to contact a local handyperson or locksmith who will have the expertise to be able to remove this safely from the wall for you using power tools destroying the key safe in the process.

Please do not attempt to forcefully remove the key safe from the wall as these are secured using self-tapping masonry screws and this will cause damage to your brickwork.

I have lost/forgotten my code, help!

Unfortunately, we don’t hold any codes for key safe’s here. As a main supplier, all units leave us uncoded and the owner of the key safe sets their own code.  Additionally, being a security item, they are not allowed to have any master/reset code facility.

If your key safe was supplied to you, there is a possibility that the company/authority responsible will have records of this code. We advise reaching out to them directly to assist you further. Your council’s adult social care department would likely be a good starting point.

To help remember the code, the following points may help:

Our C500, P500 and Classic ranges of key safe’s are not able to have any repeating numbers in the code.  We advise using 5-7 numbers/letters for the code. You can enter the code in any order

Our Tamo range of key safes can have each digit utilised up to 4 times in the code. We advise using at least 6 numbers in the code with at least one of these being a repeat. You can enter the code in any order.

I have moved into a property and there is a key safe, but we don’t know the code?

As a main supplier, all units leave us un-coded.  Additionally, being a security item, they do not have any master/reset code facility.

The previous owner/tenant of your property may have had a care package in place which required this key safe.

We recommend reaching out to your local authority’s Adult Social Care department as there is a chance, they have retained code information. You may also wish to check in with neighbours to see if they were made aware of any codes for this unit.

If the above is not successful, this means you will not be able to make use of this keysafe.

The removal of a locked key safe would need to be performed by someone with cutting equipment such as a handyperson or locksmith.

We would advise against trying to prise the unit from the wall as it may cause damage to any brickwork/concrete.

My relative has passed away but hasn’t left the code, what can I do?

As a main supplier, all units leave us uncoded.  Additionally, being a security item, they are not allowed to have any master/reset code facility.

If your relative was in receipt of care, there is a possibility that the company/local authority behind this will have note of the code last used in the key safe.

We advise reaching out to them to see if they have this on file or what they would suggest for you moving forward.

If the above is not successful, this means you will not be able to make use of this key safe. The removal of a locked key safe would need to be performed by someone with cutting equipment such as a handyperson or locksmith.
