Is it true that the code digits can be entered in any order? Does this compromise code security?

It is correct that the number and/or letter combination can be entered in any order. In fact, all mechanical push button key safes from any manufacturer work in the same way.

In terms of security, there are still thousands of unique code combinations to choose from, regardless of the order the digits or numbers are entered in. As such the probability of someone guessing the code is very low.

Standard Security Range - up to 1000 possible combinations

Supra C500 or P500 Police Preferred Key Safe - up to 4096 combinations

Ark Tamo Maximum Security Key Safe - up to 9.7 million combinations

The Supra C500 is the secure mechanical key safe in the UK, having attained the LPS1175 Issue 8 A5 certification from BRE (Building Research Establishment) Global.

The ark Tamo is the world’s first and only mechanical key safe to achieve the LPS1175 Issue 8 A10 security rating from Loss Prevention Certification Board, making it the best key safe in its class, featuring specialist anti-saw pins. Tamo is also built to Police Preferred specification by ‘Secured by Design’, the official UK Police security initiative, which certifies products proven to reduce crime.
